Project: Wildlife Visitor Center - Exhibition & Museum - Design & Build
The Empty Quarter of Arabia is home to a wildlife sanctuary that was once threatened by extinction. The project brief entailed the re-design, production and fit out of an existing Wildlife Visitor Center. The design approach orchestrates a unique visitor’s journey with an exciting display of the initiatives in the protection of the flora and fauna of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, an integral step in the journey towards environmental sustainability, by the protection and fostering of its wildlife.
This gave birth to an exciting, inter-disciplinary collaboration between Ammar Alsadeq Design, Artinity and 823 Studio in an ongoing phased project that will continue to give back to Mother Earth for centuries to come.
Consistency and cohesiveness were achieved using key elements like dune forms, an earthy colour palette and materials that can be found in the surrounding local context of Rub’al Khali. This approach encapsulates the surrounding terrain of Rub’ Al Khali within the existing structure guiding visitors through an immersive meandering path.
This collaboration included the design, manufacturing and production of an elevated, luxurious and inviting display.
